News 10: The Story of Building a Green Factory: The "Circular Economy" Practice of Haoyang Forging
On the occasion of the 54th World Environment Day, Jinan Haoyang Forging Co., Ltd. disclosed the achievements of its "green factory" construction: Through steel slag recycling, waste heat utilization, and the renovation of the water circulation system, the annual solid waste emissions were reduced by 1,200 tons, and 800 tons of standard coal were saved.
Entering the production workshop, the treated cooling water is reused at a rate of 90%. All the iron shavings produced during the processing of steel balls are sent to a professional company for smelting and recycling. "Previously, these iron shavings were sold as scrap iron. Now they are made into steel billets and reused. We can save 3 million yuan in raw material costs every year," the production manager calculated the environmental benefits.
The company also invested 2 million yuan to install VOCs treatment equipment, and the concentration of waste gas emissions is much lower than the national standard. "Environmental protection is not a cost burden, but a competitive advantage," Chen Jinfu said. Green production has become the "passport" for the company to enter the markets of Europe and America.
