High-end forged steel balls lead the industry upgrade and contribute to the efficient production of global mines

The product performance indicators have comprehensively exceeded international standards, and it has broken the foreign technological monopoly at one stroke. It is introduced that the forged steel balls launched this time adopt the "dual-frequency induction heating + precise die forging" process. The raw materials are selected from high-quality low-carbon alloy structural steel, and are forged through 8 precise procedures. The products have significant advantages such as uniform hardness (HRC 58-62), high impact toughness (≥12J/cm²), and a 30% improvement in wear resistance. Their service life is extended by more than 50% compared to traditional products. In the on-site test at a large iron mine in Shanxi, the single consumption of these steel balls dropped to 0.8kg/t, helping the customer save over 8 million yuan in production costs annually.
"Forging steel balls may seem simple, but it is actually a deep integration of materials science and forging technology." Engineer Wang, the technical director of Haoyang Casting and Forging, said that the company has established a full-process quality control system from raw material traceability to product inspection, equipped with German imported spectrometers and impact testing machines, to ensure that the qualified rate of each batch of products reaches 100%. Currently, the products have been widely used in large-scale mines, cement, metallurgy and other fields both domestically and internationally, and have been exported to more than 30 countries and regions such as Australia, Brazil and South Africa. In 2024, the overseas market sales increased by 45% year-on-year.
In response to the urgent demand of the global mining industry for efficient and wear-resistant materials, Haoyang Forging has continuously increased its research and development investment, allocating 8% of its annual revenue to technological innovation. It has successively received titles such as "Shandong Province's Small and Medium-sized High-tech Enterprise" and "National High-tech Enterprise".
