News 14: New Chapter in School-Enterprise Cooperation: Haoyang Forging and Casting and Jinan University Establish a Joint Laboratory for Wear-resistant Materials

Jinan Haoyang Forging and Casting Co., Ltd. and the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Jinan University signed a cooperation agreement today to jointly establish the "Wear-resistant Materials Joint Laboratory", focusing on improving the lifespan of steel balls and developing green manufacturing technologies.
The laboratory will be jointly funded by both parties with a total investment of 2 million yuan. It will be equipped with equipment such as scanning electron microscopes and fatigue testing machines, and will conduct research on topics such as "Research on High-Performance Alloy Steel" and "Optimization of Intelligent Forging Processes". "Our engineers will participate in teaching practice, and students can also do internships in enterprises, achieving seamless integration of research, education and production," a professor from Jinan University said.
The first-phase cooperation project "Research and Development of Nano-Coated Steel Balls" has been launched, aiming to further enhance the wear resistance of the steel balls by 30%. The establishment of this laboratory marks a crucial step for Haoyang Forging & Casting in transitioning from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing + research and development".
