Forged Steel Balls: Technological Innovation Leads Upgrade of Mining Wear-Resistant Materials
Forged Steel Balls: Innovation and Application Summary As key wear-resistant media for ball mills, forged steel balls are manufactured via 700-1300℃ heating and forging. They feature smooth surfaces, high impact resistance, strong toughness, and low breakage rate, with wear resistance comparable to high-chromium cast balls at a lower cost, widely used in mining and cement industries. Made of low-carbon alloy steel or high manganese steel, they are favored by mining giants like Rio Tinto and BHP. China, a major steel ball consumer, boosts production capacity and performance through intelligent forging equipment, promoting global exports and demonstrating "Made in China" competitiveness
