Jinan Haoyang Forging and Casting Company Participates in Tanzania Mining Exhibition

From September 24th to 26th, 2025, the 9th Tanzania International Mining and Construction Machinery Exhibition (MINEXPO & BUILDEXPO) was grandly held at the Diamond Jubilee Exhibition Center in Dar es Salaam. As the largest mining professional exhibition in the East African region, this exhibition attracted over 300 exhibitors from 30 countries worldwide, and received more than 19,000 professional visitors. Haoyang Forging & Casting Co., Ltd. from Jinan, Shandong Province, participated in the exhibition with its core mining forging products. With cost-effective technical solutions, it garnered attention from many purchasing companies in various countries.

Tanzania's mining industry is a core pillar of the country's economy, and it has long relied on imported machinery and consumables. This exhibition, as a flagship project of the African Mining Exhibition Alliance, has been held for 29 consecutive years and has become a key gateway for enterprises from various countries to enter the East African market. The exhibition site features core exhibition areas such as mineral processing equipment, mine safety equipment, and construction machinery. Concurrently, industry roundtable meetings focused on the topic of "Upgrade of Mining Infrastructure and Localization of Equipment" were held, attracting representatives from the Tanzanian Ministry of Mines and representatives from multiple countries of the East African Community to attend.

The forged steel balls produced by Haoyang Forging have become the center of attention throughout the event. Haoyang Forging set up a dedicated booth in the 5,000-square-meter open-air mechanical exhibition area, focusing on showcasing a series of forged steel balls with diameters ranging from 25mm to 150mm. These products are made from high-carbon manganese alloy steel from Laigang Group, through fully automated rolling and precise heat treatment processes. The surface hardness reaches 58-65 HRC, and the impact toughness exceeds 15J/cm². The breakage rate of 125mm-sized products can be reduced to zero. "The gold and copper ore processing plants in Tanzania generally face high loss rates of grinding media. Our products can reduce the grinding cost per ton by 15%-20%," explained the enterprise's exhibition representative.

The on-site demonstration data shows that compared to the existing similar products in the East African market, the wear resistance life of Haoyang Forging's steel balls has increased by more than 40%, and they can be adapted to different types of ball mill equipment. On the first day of the exhibition, representatives from mining companies in Kenya and Uganda visited the event for over 60 times, and three local mining enterprises in Tanzania immediately expressed their intention to trial use.

It is reported that Tanzania implements a zero-tariff policy for capital goods in the mining sector, providing policy benefits to overseas equipment suppliers. The participation of Haoyang Forging in this exhibition was not accidental - the enterprise has built a grinding medium production base with an annual output of 50,000 tons in Zhangqiu, Shandong Province, and has passed ISO9001 quality system certification. The products have previously been exported to more than 20 countries in Southeast Asia and South America. "The upgrading of infrastructure in East African mining is releasing huge demand. We plan to use Tanzania as a pivot point to establish regional warehousing and after-sales service centers," the above representative disclosed. The enterprise is currently in talks with logistics enterprises at Dar es Salaam Port in Tanzania for cooperation, and expects to achieve local delivery by 2026.

Data from the exhibition organizer shows that the amount of equipment purchase intentions for this exhibition has increased by 60% year-on-year, and the signing amount of Chinese participating enterprises accounts for 35%. Industry insiders pointed out that the technological output of enterprises like Haoyang Forging is driving the East African mining industry to upgrade from "importing equipment" to "technical cooperation".
