High-chromium composite forged steel balls have been introduced, solving the problem of grinding in medium-load conditions.
Haoyang Forging's "High-Chromium Composite Forged Steel Balls" have passed the provincial-level appraisal. The 120-150mm large-sized products have filled the domestic gap. The dual-metal composite process achieves a surface hardness of HRC 60-65 and a core hardness of HRC 30-35 with a gradient, without any fractures for 3,000 hours, and the wear resistance is 15% higher than that of imported products. It has obtained 5 patents and has been supplied to the National Energy Group. A 50,000-ton intelligent production line is planned, and after the 2027 production start, the procurement cost can be reduced by 40%.

Jinan Haoyang Casting and Forging has won a contract for forging steel balls of 1,000 tons in the Southeast Asian region with a B2 material. The products cover specifications of 80mm and 90mm, and the ball consumption, breakage rate, etc. meet the standards of the industry. The products are made of GCr15 material and undergo isothermal quenching process, with a hardness of HRC58-62. The wear resistance is improved by 30%-50% compared to ordinary cast balls. The company has completed customs declaration and will ship in early March. At the same time, it plans to build a digital twin workshop to strive for a 50% market share in the high-end market by 2026.
