Chilean mining delegation visits Jinan Haoyang Forging & Casting Co., Ltd. to jointly explore new opportunities for international cooperation in forging steel balls.
(Changzhou, China, June 30, 2025) Today, a technical team from Chile's CODELCO Copper Mining Company visited Jinan Haoyang Forging & Casting Co., Ltd. to conduct on-site inspections of the forging steel ball production process and quality control system, and to engage in in-depth discussions on deepening supply chain cooperation.
1. Foreign guests' on-site visit to the production core
Under the guidance of General Manager Zhang Hua and the technical team, the delegation visited the company's fully automated forging workshop, quality inspection laboratory, and warehousing and logistics center. Inside the workshop, the independently developed robotic arm forging production line was operating efficiently, and batches of 5.5-inch high-mobility wear-resistant steel balls for mining applications were rolled off the production line. Technical Director Li Ming demonstrated on-site the entire process of the steel balls, from raw material cutting, high-temperature forging to hardness testing. 16
II. Technical Alignment Demonstrates Strong Competence
At the symposium, Haoyang Company presented its successful export cases to 20 or more countries including the United States and Kazakhstan. The company highlighted the B2-grade special alloy forged steel balls developed for high-corrosive mining environments. The Chilean team highly praised the product's HRC62 hardness and the ≤1% fragmentation rate indicators, and conducted a technical discussion on optimizing the wear resistance under high humidity conditions in South American copper mines 14.
III. New breakthroughs achieved in cross-border cooperation
Based on the successful fulfillment of the 2,000-ton Chilean order in the previous stage, the two parties signed the "Strategic Supplier Framework Agreement". Haoyang Company will serve as the core supplier for CODELCO in the Asia-Pacific region and customize the development of a full range of forged steel balls with diameters of 3-6 inches for its 2026 expansion project. It is expected that the annual supply volume will exceed 15,000 tons.
IV. International Layout Achieves Another Milestone
"The company has established service centers in the United States and West Africa. This year, we will focus on expanding the market in South America," said General Manager Zhang Hua. Leveraging the geographical advantages of Zhangqiu District, the company is accelerating the construction of a bonded storage base, which will enable global direct delivery of urgent orders within 72 hours in the future.
