Jinan, May 13, 2025] In the latest Typical Cases of Industrial Green Transformation released by Jinan Ecological Environment Bureau, Jinan Haoyang Casting & Forging Co., Ltd. has been selected for its “Resource Recycling+Clean Energy” dual-wheel drive model. Through technological transformation and refined management, the company will achieve an 18% reduction in energy consumption of 10,000 yuan output value in 2023, interpreting the deep integration of “smart” and “green” with practical actions.

Green Manufacturing Practices

1. Cleaner production upgrades 

- Photovoltaic power generation system:  

  10,000 square meters of solar panels are laid on the roof of the factory, with an annual power generation of 1.86 million degrees, meeting 15% of the electricity demand for production and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 280 tons per year.  

- Heat recovery device:  

  Waste heat from forging is used for heating in winter, replacing gas boilers, saving 120,000 cubic meters of natural gas consumption annually.  

2. Resource recycling system  

- The metal recycling rate is 98.7%:  

  Scrap steel balls and edges are crushed and processed and returned to the furnace for recycling, reducing iron ore purchases by 12,000 tons per year.  

- Cooling water recycling:  

  Closed-loop water treatment system reduces water consumption per ton of product to 0.5 tons (industry average 1.8 tons), awarded “Shandong Province Water Saving Benchmark Enterprise”.

3. Environmental management system  

- Digital monitoring:  

  Installation of 24-hour online emission monitoring equipment, real-time data docking to the platform of the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, with no record of exceeding the standard throughout the year.  

- Supply Chain Control:  

  Require suppliers to provide RoHS/REACH compliance certificates, and eliminate 6 non-compliant raw material suppliers in 2024.

  Free access to environmental monitoring data to the surrounding community, and a total of 12 public science activities on “industry and ecology”.  

- Industry empowerment:  

  Led the development of “Green Factory Evaluation Standards for Forging Industry” and shared energy-saving technologies with 13 companies in the same industry.
